Welcome and A Giveaway: Emily Ley Planner

Give Away is now closed.  Thank you to all who participated!!!

Hey Y’all!!  Welcome to Hope Filled Home!  This purposeful blog has been a dream in the making for a long time.  And now, here she is!  I’m so glad you have come to visit!  Make yourself at home.

I’ve been praying over this blog for a while.  You can read my why behind creating it up in the menu.  You can also meet my precious family in my About Me section.  Scroll through some previous posts to be introduced to different portions of this blog.

With this launch, I have my first giveaway! Yippee! It is an Emily Ley 2014 Planner with a sticky (post-it note like) notepad booklet.  I am super duper excited about this giveaway!  I heard about Emily Ley from my friend, Brittany, who used to come to my house on Wednesday nights and babysit my kids WITH me. (Yep, I didn’t leave the house.  I just needed help!)  She would help with the kids when Chris was at church.  And in between pizza and baths she told me all about Emily Ley, and how she was IN LOVE with all of her cute stuff.  So, of course I had to go on a hunt.  And I fell in love with her, too!

But, the story goes on.  Probably around the same time I discovered Emily, Lara Casey (one of Emily’s BFFs) had become dear friends with my sister, Nancy Ray.  I was finally able to meet Emily (& Lara) this October at Making Things Happen! I felt like I had known her forever!  We share a heart for family and healthy marriages, for mamas and their babies.  She is so very precious.  You would love her instantly!

I have been using my planner this past month, and I want YOU to have one, too!  I wish I could give one to each of my readers!  I LOVE this planner so much!  Some of my favorite things about it…

  • the pretty colors = HAPPINESS!
  • The way each day has it’s OWN PAGE, to do list, notes, and dinner plans spot!
  • And, my most favorite thing of all..a tiny little box to jot down your favorite memory of the week on Fridays.
  • Oh, and the first page is go to dinner ideas!

I squealed when I saw it the first time!    I  mean… what can I say, she is speaking my language!

Here is how you can enter to win one of these beauties…

  1. Leave a comment here and tell me what you are most excited or most curious about from Hope Filled Home!
  2. Follow me on Instagram (@hopefilledhome), re-post my Instagram picture with the hashtag #hopefilledhomelaunch .  (Just know if you have a private account, I will not be able to see your picture.  So either unlock your profile for a bit, or just leave and comment here and know you will be entered! Hope YOU win!

Before I go, I must give thanks to a few darlings who have helped me get this blog up and running.

  • Nancy & Will Ray – thank you for answering all of my questions and helping me figure out how to build this little internet house when I thought my brain might explode!
  • Emily Ley – thank you for my amazing banner! And for your encouragement!  And for making the best planner known to man!

  • Grandma DeeDee – for your help watching the kids!  I am sooo thankful for you!
  • Harper, Warner, Crews, Maverick, and Haven – you are the reason that I write.  You are living miracles.  I love you and promise this will never take place over you.

  8. Greetings from Australia Mary!

I am excited to have found you on both Instagram and your blog.

I was touched by your blog when I saw how lovingly you have introduced us to your precious little family and the journey you’ve been on to have the family you do.

I will need to go through a similar path when I decide to start my own family and your positive attitude and your faith makes this such an inspiring place for me to visit.

I am looking forward to you showing how you make a busy life more simple, inspiring us though your faith and positivity as well as simple recipes, memory-making and family adventures.

Best wishes to you and your family.

    From Amber (Australia)

  9. Thanks for the chance! I am a new follower with a family of 7 and am excited to read your inspirational blog!

  10. yea! Glad to see you back blogging. We have two mutual friends – Tara D and Amber H. They both, separately, told me about your blog when I found out I was pregnant with our twins after we had come through years of infertility. We now have three littles- 3 and under- so the days are challenging for sure! Good to hear from a mama who has walked a similar (definately harder, but similar) life with multiples. yea!

  11. I am expecting my first child (a boy!) in April and am most looking forward to your tips on organization in the home with children. With 5 children I know you must have some amazing tips that have helped keep you sane!

  12. You know I have read your blog for years and years…all the way back to when there was only Harper! I am so excited to see this AMAZING blog!!! I love the last thing you wrote…the promise to your children!!!!

  13. I am beyond excited for you, beautiful friend! Looking forward to hearing about all your Godly wisdom in how to balance it all being the heart of the home :) Love you, girl! :)

  14. ML, I am so excited that you are jumping back into the blogging world. I have been following you for several years now. I had the privilege of going to college with Nancy and Will and the huge honor of having them shoot my wedding a couple of years ago. I remember one of Nancy’s first blogs featuring you and your precious family (just little Harper at the time). I have been so encouraged by you through the years as you write openly and honestly. It’s so evident that you have a wonderful home and family whom you love dearly and are so loved by! I love how you are humble enough to be real and not paint a “fairy tale” image, according to thr world, of motherhood and marriage. You have created your own fairy tale and I look forward to learning from your experiences!

I’ll never forget your blog right before going in to have the triplets. You posted a video. I can not think of a time where I have been more in awe of how God created our bodies! I know you were so physically exhausted, but you did a great job carrying those boys (and your girls, of course) and looked great doing it! Thanks for always being real and honest with your readers!

  15. I just followed you on IG and reposted your giveaway pic! (@_amysteiner_) However, I am private, so I guess you won’t get to see that I’ve done that! :)

  20. I am most excited about hearing about your experiences as a wife and mother! As a newlywed, I am looking for lots of guidance on healthy marriages and parenting (for the future). You seem like a very good role model and have a great sense of humor…love your Instagrams!

  21. I’m most excited about reading good motherly advice from such an experienced woman! I just had my first little one ten weeks ago.

your space here is beautiful. i look forward to following!

  23. I followed you over here from Emily’s Instagram. Your blog is adorable! I can’t wait to check it out. :) also I love Emily’s planner and hope I win!

  24. Just came across this and love finding new blogs about being in the trenches of motherhood and the reality of how hard it really is. I am a mama to an 18 month old boy and my world was rocked when he was born. The biggest struggle for me was the difference between the reality of motherhood and the impression (I had) of motherhood. Finding other ladies who have been there and understand all of that and are not afraid to talk about it is very freeing and important, because so many women don’t talk about it. Thank you for sharing your heart! (I also entered your giveaway on Instagram by following you and re-posting your IG picture, but am a private user.)

    • Yes! Transparency I think is key in helping each other along! Thanks for letting me know about the private IG!

  25. I’m so excited to read your blog! Nancy was our wedding photographer in 2012 and now we are expecting our first baby girl in July! My husband is a Worship and Arts Director at our church in Greenville, NC and we are thrilled about growing our little family; so I think we will have a lot in common and I will learn so much from reading your blog! I’m most excited to learn about your experiences while raising children over the past 6 years. :)

  26. Hello! I’m very excited about your blog as I’m always looking to improve our home! I write a fashion blog and also have a heart to help women grow closer to God and be happy about themselves. And I’m still learning how to juggle home life and work so I’m very excited to have a new place to come to and read about a hope filled home! What a great name! Be blessed!

  27. Excited about your blog launch!! Love getting to see picutres and hear thoughts of raising multiples!! I’m an aunt to twins so love hearing those things to pass along!!

  28. Honestly, your blog title alone is exciting for me. Being home all day with my little people, sometimes I feel like I lose hope that things will ever get easier. So I look forward to hearing how you keep a positive outlook with your crew. Thanks!

    • It gets sooo much easier! Other challenges arise, but they are just different from those little years!

  29. I love your Instagram! I’m looking forward to reading all the great things you’ll
Blog! Good luck in your news endeavor!!

  30. I’m excited about learning more about your faith, motherhood, and living a hope filled-simple life. Thanks so much for the chance to win the planner!!!!!:)

  31. I am so excited to follow your blog!!! Hoping to win this beautiful, awesome planner!!!!! You are an inspiration and I adore your family!!!!! Can’t wait to live in Nashville and meet your family:) love you!!

  32. I am a new mom with another on the way. I’m most excited to learn from a more seasoned mama on Potty Training and Discipline.

    • Thank You! You will always be special to this little bloggy- but even more so to me. :-) Excited for YOU!!

  33. Wow, loved reading your “about me” section. What a beautiful family!

I am 29. No kids. I LOVE kids but my husband doesn’t have a job (for a year now. he keeps looking but nothing so far). I don’t want to ever ask anything from the government or from anybody (money wise (I know I’ll need help with baby-siting haha). So, I am NOT ready to have kids, but I will be 30 next year and I really don’t want to keep waiting and get older. It’s a little sad for me.
The only thing we have is my job right now which will not cover all the expenses of having a kid and also, if I have a kid, I wouldn’t want to work a full time job. My job doesn’t have any benefits (I don’t have medical coverage for example). I want to spend at least 2 years with my kid (I want to be able to breastfeed for 2 full years).
What I want to see on your blog:

    – Any dvices and suggestions on how do you manage the financial aspect of having kids? (it scares me so much and I want to be able to provide my kid (s) all that they need (no spoinling but just very healthy natural food (all we eat now is 100% organic locally grown food and it’s a little pricy (we’re not even able to save money: 1- because we live only on one salary and 2- we spend much of it on food) and good quality clothes and education).
    – Also, how do you organize yourself, it seems like so so so much work! It scares me too! :( I want to read: What are your SECRETS to manage this amazing duty, to be a mom!

Thank you and I wish you the very BEST to you and your beautiful family!

    Love,

P.S: I don’t have an iPhone and so I don’t use instagram :( , is there something else I could do to participate to win the planner (would love to win, I NEED to learn how to organize my days)

  34. I posted on Instagram but my account is private! I am excited to read about your journey through motherhood

  35. I think I’m interested in your motivation and inspiration on healthy eating. My hubby has stage 4 cancer and I know this could help all of us as a family unit and not just him. Thanks for the opportunity!

    • First of all, I will be lifting your husband up in prayer and you up as you care for him. I will do my best to bring what I have learned. Praying for you.

  36. I am most excited about hearing all of your parenting advice:) Knowing other moms have the same ups and downs in the wonderful job of being a mommy helps me to push forward and try to be the best mommy that I can be

  37. I follow NRP and saw her post about your blog. After reading through it a bit, although I don’t have kids yet, I desire to have hope in my home always. I am about to get married in just over 6 weeks and I have been praying about our ‘home’ and what that will look like. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong picture of it, it will be uniquely ours, but to have hope in it is important to me. I also find it extremely brave when people put their stories out for others. There is such risk but I pray much reward for you in sharing your journey with others!

  38. I love lifestyle blogs. Especially when they’re written by Christian women. I’m excited to get to know you and your precious family through your words. It’s always encouraging to hear about day-to-day lives of women that are living for the Lord. I’m a senior in college, but one day hope to have a big family of my own too. I’ve always wanted to start a blog myself, but don’t know exactly what I’d write about. Yours could be a wonderful inspiration.
