Travel to NC…

Going back to June…

The Wedding week began with Nean (my mom’s sister, Jean) flying to TN to help Harper and me fly to NC. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! We were so excited that we decided to pack just about the ENTIRE apartment and take it – hey, we were going to be there for almost 3 weeks!

(I have NO Clue how to turn this picture!)

Harper did great on her first plane ride. It went something like this … Take off… ate & then fell asleep. Woke up. Screamed her head off for about 10 minutes. Fell back asleep, then as we landed, spit up everywhere! It was quite an adventure.

The first day we got to hang out with Uncle Will and Aunt Nancy before the festivities began.

Harper also got to meet her cousins for the first time, Kyler and Nikolas.

Here they are watching The Wiggles (Kyler is obsessed (to say the least))…

The next few days were filled with wedding events. Here are some pics of the Bridesmaid’s Tea on Friday afternoon…

That night we had a fun girl’s night at mom’s apartment laughing and going through pictures of Nancy and her friends growing up. It was quite funny, and I wish I had some of the pictures to put on here. The first pic is of us the girls hanging out, and the bottom two are of Harper and her Minkies (Jess, Sam, Heather, and Elizabeth)

I have no pictures of Saturday at the rehearsal dinner. Harper was having a bit of a melt down, and I’m sure taking pictures wasn’t first on my agenda. So….

Sunday was the BIG DAY! And all I have are pics of us getting ready. :-( Harper did AMAZING during the wedding. She was the “Flower Baby” so she was carried down the aisle by me (The Matron of Honor). One funny story… right before we walked down the aisle, me, Harper,Nancy, and Dad were having a sweet moment all teary-eyed and excited. Well, Nancy leaned in to tell Harper she loved her and giver her a kiss. Nancy had no sooner pulled away when Harper PUKED everything she just ate. I mean not a little spit up, but A LOT of spit up!!! We all just sat there wide-eyed because if it had been a second earlier, it would have been all over Nancy’s dress!!! Thank you Jesus!!! After the wedding, Harper began her crying. She wasn’t feeling well and was just hot and tired (we all were)! So, I missed the first half of the reception, but it was fine, I was snuggling with my baby! Here are some of the pics I have of that day…

  1. OH you made me laugh, about that extra baby weight… Dustin & I call it our “chin straps” so we lovingly call each other chin-strap chap! :)

  2. What a beautiful wedding and a precious couple- Thank you for sharing in such a special way! I loved reading all about it:)
